Cricket World Cup 2019 Host

England & Wales would host this year’s Cricket World Cup 2019 which would kick off from May, 30 to July, 14. It is the fifth time that England and Wales are hosting the Grand event following 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999 World Cups.

England and Wales have been awarded the rights to host Cricket World Cup 2019 in April 2006 as result of backing out from the bidding to host Cricket World Cup 2015 which was played in Australia and New Zealand.

Cricket World Cup 2019 Groups

Cricket World Cup 2019 would have a single group of all 10 teams. All matches would be played in a round-robin format, in which each team would contest the other nine teams. The top four teams of the list would progress to knock out stage of semi-finals and then the two winners teams of semi-finals would then play the final on 14 July.

The new thing about this year’s world cup is that no associate teams are included in this world cup due to the reason this event has been criticized as well. It would be the first time in history that two test playing nations Ireland and Zimbabwe would not be the part of this year’s World Cup.
